Old Habits Die Hard

Old habits die hard. In December 2022, someone I thought was a friend borrowed $4000 from us, claiming they were broke for Christmas. They promised to repay the money in January 2023, but January came and went with a further promise to pay in April. As you might have already guessed, the outcome was not what I expected. I was startled by my reaction as it wasn't the behavior I wanted to exhibit. I immediately started planning an unfortunate accident for my former friend, but after 1.5 hours, I recognized my past behavior and let it go.

Long-term criminal behavior becomes ingrained, and we may not even realize it. However, we can't change our behavior; we have to replace it with new functional behavior. I'm happy to say that my former friend is now safe.

This is likely why so many people reoffend. During my arranged incarceration, I noted that there was only one psychologist for nearly 2000 prisoners in Long Bay at that time.

As you sit in front of your TV with the door unlocked and the keys for your car in the ignition, you should expect to be preyed upon. It's your own fault, and I find the community at large to be a cesspool of waiting victims with uninformed opinions that do nothing to solve the problem. Most people are lazy pricks and make nice, tasty, fat victims. Your own apathy, laziness, and bullshit opinions are the criminal's greatest advantage. Now, I'm sure I'll hear someone say, "What can I do? I'm only one person."

You could join a neighborhood watch, secure your property, arm yourself against violence, complain to your state and federal representatives, and be responsible for your own security and safety. I'm an example of what you can do. I dare any sucker to come onto my property with ill intent. In 11 years, only two people with bad intentions have intruded onto my property. I scare them off, and when they're about 50 meters away, I give them an arse full of number 3 shot, which costs $1.50 - a shitload cheaper than a psychologist and likely more effective.

I think a utopian, helpful, crime-free society would be a wondrous thing, but it will never be available in the lifetime of those on this planet. We, the most intelligent creature, have the most character defects. I seriously doubt there is a human who is crime-free, although most would never admit it. Sadly, greed and ugliness go all the way to the bone. I've conquered greed; I've never done anything for pure financial reward. I always got off on the doing. The act itself was my reward, and money automatically followed a job well done. Kind of like water always runs downhill. Shit, I just qualified as a plumber.

Short of a world that forces psychological and parenting classes to create children, alcohol and drug dysfunction is a permanent treatment until there is satisfactory accreditation of rehab success. Prisoners should not be given terms to serve; instead, they should be evaluated for rehabilitation based on a successful change of character. We should piss off alcohol and recreational drugs and have a total ban on violence, including wars. If a war is needed, let the leaders slug it out, and it would make great TV. Dysfunctional behavior should go straight to a holding establishment for the duration of adjustment.

A benevolent dictator is needed.

Until these issues and many others are handled, everyone needs to understand:

  • -Your families and loved ones are at permanent risk.

  • -Others believe they have priority rights to your money and property.

  • -These others are waiting for their opportunity to undo you
